888 chief executive Brian Mattingley said Thursday that the company remains confident that a number of US states will make progress on legalising online gaming over the course of 2014, and expects the New Jersey market to improve after a slow start.

Following publication of the operator’s full year 2013 results, Mattingley said that growth in New Jersey had been affected by its land-based partner Caesars Entertainment only receiving its iGaming licence just days before the market opened.
