The results of a survey of French online gamblers suggests that poker payers are more at risk of developing problem gambling habits than players in any other vertical, as well as being more likely to play on sites that are not locally licensed.

The survey, carried out by the country’s monitoring centre for drugs and drug addiction (OFDT) and the French Games Observatory (ODJ), found that almost a quarter of poker players used sites that were not licensed in France.
