888 chief executive Bryan Mattingley has criticised the UK Gambling Commission for its lack of communication with potential licensees compared to US regulators, as it prepares to implement the UK Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) bill.

In a conference call following publication of the company’s first quarter results Thursday, Mattingley said that while he felt the commission was able to deal with issues in a timely manner, he found it “quite difficult that [888] had little dialogue with them.”
