Swedish gaming software supplier NYX Interactive, a subsidiary of the NYX Gaming Group, is to enter Latvia’s online gaming market through a partnership with Nordic Leisure’s licensed Optibet brand.

NYX has launched its Open Gaming System with Optibet.lv, which is one of only two licensed operators in the Latvian market alongside Olympic Entertainment Group’s OlyBet.com brand.

NYX senior vice president David Flynn said the launch of OGS in Latvia was “yet another feather in the cap” for the solution.

The launch allows Optibet to go live with a range NYX’s iGaming content, alongside third party games supplied by Aristocrat Technologies and the NYX-owned Nextgen Gaming.

“The way in which we seamlessly deliver new games through OGS ensures our clients are first to market with new games content from several providers,” Flynn added. “I’m looking forward to delivering further chart toppers to the Optibet team."

He described Optibet as a proven leader in Latvia’s online casino market, and said that OGS would allow the business to increase market share and quickly launch new content.

Optibet chief executive Aigars Zviedris said it was “a real pleasure” to expand its online gaming offering with content from the likes of Aristocrat and Nextgen.

“It makes game selection to our customers even wider than before,” he explained. “We are looking forward to great cooperation with NYX in the future in order to deliver to our customers the most entertaining customer experience on our market.”

The Latvian launch comes just days after NYX had OGS certified for launch in the Danish market, with compliance testing carried out by NMi.
