Gambling software supplier Corredor Empresarial S.A. has been selected by Colombia’s gaming regulator Coljuegos to power a state-owned pari-mutuel betting site.

Corredor Empresarial has been awarded a five-year contract to operate the pari-mutuel offering following a lengthy tender process, beating rival bidder GTECH.

Under the terms of the contract, 24 per cent of gross sales will be directed to public health, with the total amount of revenue estimated by Coljuegos to be in the region of COP$50bn (€19m) over the length of the contract.
