Betdaq, the Irish betting exchange operator acquired last year by Ladbrokes, has gone live with a B2B solution supplied by online sports betting operator Clossus Bets, allowing it to offer players the chance to win prizes of up to £10m.
The accumulator game claims to be the largest football and sports jackpot available in the market, and enables Betdaq to offer over £100m of guaranteed prize pools to its players during the World Cup.
The launch makes Betdaq the first Colossus Bets’ B2B partner to launch the jackpot in the UK.
Betdaq chief executive Lewis Findlay said he was “greatly looking forward to providing betting exchange customers with this proposition which is truly unique and ground-breaking for this World Cup and into next season’s Premier league.”
Players on the exchange will have the chance to win the £10m jackpot every few days during the World Cup.
“I’m delighted that one of world’s leading betting exchanges, BETDAQ, has become our first UK B2B partner,” Colossus Bets founder and chief executive Bernard Marantelli commented. “With our products, BETDAQ has the ability to offer their exchange customers, unprecedented lottery-sized football jackpots and our patented Fractional Cash-In feature, a world first in betting.”
The Fractional Cash-in feature allows players to cash out profits on part of an active bet on multiple events, while retaining the remaining part of the bet to play for a share of the jackpot prize.
Marantelli commented that this “should become industry standard given the ever increasing popularity of multiples and in-play betting.”
