With the company having revamped its online offering, Ladbrokes is to focus on returning its business to growth and profitability in the second half of the year, chief executive Richard Glynn said Tuesday.

“We are now positioned to move the business from operational delivery to growth,” he said following the publication of the company’s results for the first half of the year.

Key to the company’s growth will be a focus on mobile sports betting, which Glynn described as “the real battleground” in the industry, warning that the company’s product has to evolve to fully engage a particularly discerning audience.
