The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has selected Bally Technologies as its central gaming management system provider.

The move is in line with OLG’s modernisation drive and will see the company implement Bally’s system technology to align and comply with “Conduct and Manage” responsibilities under Canada’s Criminal Code, and implement enhanced responsible gambling tools at gaming facilities across Ontario.

Bally Technologies’ senior VP of North American sales and corporate marketing, Robert Parente, commented: “It’s an honor to continue and expand our partnership with OLG to provide leading technology gaming systems throughout the province.

“This agreement demonstrates our continued commitment to the needs of the Canadian gaming market and we are very excited about working together to help OLG fulfill its modernization.”

Shares in Bally Technologies Inc. (Co. Data) (NYSE:BYI) closed in New York Wednesday up 1.38 per cent at $80.06 per share.
