A number of leading European operators including bet365, Betfair and Ladbrokes have come together to form the German Sports Betting Association (DSWV). Its aim is to fight against match-fixing, unlicensed gambling and to lobby for clear rules for state-owned and private operators.

The three British bookmakers are joined by international operator Stanleybet, as well as German companies Admiral, Betterbet, Cashpoint, mybet, Happybet and Tipico, with former mybet chief executive Matthias Dahms serving as president of the organisation.
