Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) is to shut down its real-money advanced deposit wagering business Luckity.com, blaming the website’s poor financial performance for the decision.
Luckity launched two years ago in November 2012 under a licence from the Oregon Racing Commission.
The site used patent-pending technology to offer lottery and casino games with cash prizes, with the results based on and determined by pari-mutual wagers on live horse races, rather than a standard random number generator.
