Amaya has blamed a software bug for a message which was inadvertently circulated to players using the operator’s Full Tilt free-play iPhone app in New Jersey that incorrectly stated that the operator was licensed and would soon be launching real-money gameplay in the state.

It advised players to download the real-money software via a link in the message, with their play-money balance to be transferred over.
