Sportech Racing and Digital has extended its tote services agreement with the Jockey Club del Perú to launch the country’s first fully integrated online horse race betting website.

The Spanish-language site will be delivered using Sportech’s G4 digital wagering technology, offering coverage from the Lima-based Hipódromo de Monterrico, as well as races broadcast from the US.

Sportech will also supply the Jockey Club with its Sportech Tablet solution for online on-track wagering, as well as a fixed-odds virtual racing product from Kiron Interactive that the operator has integrated into its Quantum System Software.

Jockey Club president Luis Razzeto Ríos said he was very pleased to expand his company’s wagering services to the internet, and to offer a range of online wagering products and games through its partnership with Sportech.

“This partnership has allowed us to offer our patrons new betting opportunities and new technologies for betting, and has streamlined and strengthened our operations,” Ríos said.

Sportech Racing and Digital president Andrew Gaughan added: “Sportech is proud to extend this valued partnership with the Jockey Club del Perú, where their vision for the future of racing and gaming, combined with Sportech innovations in digital and land-based wagering, serve as an excellent template for growth in the key Latin American market.”

Sportech has worked with Jockey Club del Perú since 2011, providing pari-mutuel wagering services to the Jockey Club and its network of 80 off-track betting shops.
