Shares in British bookmaker Ladbrokes fell sharply early Monday on reports that the company will announce a new round of shop closures this week.
The Sunday Times reported that Ladbrokes will announce around 50 additional shop closures when it reports its 2014 financial results on Thursday.
The report coincides with the publication of research findings by the Responsible Gambling Trust (RGT), which shows that areas close to licensed betting offices tend to exhibit signs of deprivation.
