Isle of Man-based communications solutions provider Manx Telecom has won a three-year hosting contract with online poker giant PokerStars.

The agreement will see a total of 48 data hosting racks and associated equipment will be relocated from their current location in Dublin, Ireland, to the Tier 3 Greenhill Data Centre (GDC) on the Isle of Man which opened last year at a cost of £10m.

PokerStars has been one of the company’s hosting clients since 2005, with the new agreement adding to the existing hosting services already provided by Manx Telecom.
