Rank Group said Thursday that it recognises the need to enhance its capabilities in the online and mobile gaming channels in order to meet the changing needs of its customers, which it aims to achieve through improvements to its online poker offering, the launch of a new sports betting product, and the creation of additional brands for its digital channels.

For the year ended June 30th, digital operations generated just 12 per cent of total gross gaming revenue. Rank said that with digital now representing around 30 per cent of the UK’s overall gambling market (excluding the National Lottery), this presented a “significant growth opportunity."
