Australia’s Tatts Group is to launch new products and services for Northern Territory bettors, having finalised a twenty-year extension to its totalisator licence, with the operator looking to generate more money for the Australian state and boost employment in the racing sector.

Operating via its UBET NT Pty subsidiary, Tatts has been awarded the licence after securing the renewal through a competitive procurement process that began in November 2014 and was completed this month.

The licence had been due to expire on June 30th under the terms of the NT Totalisator Licensing and Regulation act. However it was extended until August 31st in order to ensure no disruption to betting services...
