Canadian state lottery operator Loto-Québec has rubbished claims by regional public health officials who have called on the government to postpone Loto-Québec's online gambling launch by at least one year. The officials claim research suggests that nationalising online gambling would lead to an increase in gamblers and a subsequent rise in health risks to the province's residents.
