Swedish gaming operator Cherry has confirmed that it intends to apply for listing of its shares on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, the primary securities exchange of the Nordic countries.

Cherry's shares have been trading on AktieTorget since September 2006 but will move to Nasdaq Stockholm next year.

The company’s board believes that Cherry is well prepared to be listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, which would increase the possibilities for institutional investors to invest in Cherry's shares and create conditions for improved liquidity in the share.

“A stock market listing on Nasdaq Stockholm gives an extra seal of quality for the company regarding its operations,” said Cherry’s chairman Rolf Åkerlind.

Cherry's share will maintain its ticker symbol "CHER B" and also have the same ISIN-code as before, SE0005191426.

Shares in Cherry AB (Co. Data) (STO:CHER) rose 4.26 per cent to SEK98.00 per share in Stockholm this morning. The shares are up 218 per cent in the past year.
