Malta-licensed gaming operator LeoVegas is preparing to launch a new sports betting product following a partnership with Sweden's Kambi Group.

The agreement will see Kambi’s fully managed sportsbook product integrated into LeoVegas’ proprietary platform, allowing the operator's players to move seamlessly between its core casino games and the new sports betting offering.

The operator believes that the agreement with Kambi will aid its expansion into international markets.

“LeoVegas mobile gaming group´s success to date has been based on a passion for the greatest gaming experience, innovation and a genuine mobile first focus,” LeoVegas chief executive and co-founder Gustaf Hagman said. “At LeoVegas, we would never compromise on the customer experience and in sports we believe no one has yet taken the mobile leadership position.

“Following an extensive selection process, we are thrilled to be partnering with Kambi whom we identified as the partner that can match our high ambition and provide enabling technology and capability for us to innovate and drive the sports betting experience in the mobile era,” he continued. “We are excited by this partnership and look forward to delivering a game changing mobile sports betting experience.”

Kambi chief executive Kristian Nylén described LeoVegas as “a very exciting and fast growing brand,” and that he was excited to partner the operator to supply a sportsbook solution that would accelerate its growth.

“Our mutual interest in driving innovation in mobile sports betting forms a powerful foundation for this partnership. We look forward to supporting LeoVegas in delivering on its ambition to create a game changing mobile sports betting experience.”

Shares in Kambi Group plc (Co.Data) (STO:KAMBI) are trading up 11.65 per cent at SEK115.00 per share in Stockholm this morning following the announcement.
