Toronto-listed supplier NYX Gaming Group has signed a letter of intent to supply gaming content and player account management tools to the Dutch lottery giant that will be formed through the merger of the country’s Staatsloteri and Sichting Nationale Sporttotalisator (SNS).

NYX will integrate its Open Platform System (OPS) with de Nederlandse Staatsloterij (De Lotto), giving the operator access to a range of account management solutions. It will also supply a range of slot and scorecard titles from its NextGen Gaming development studio, including Foxin’ Wins, Jackpot Jester 50,000 and Merlin’s Millions Superbet.

These three titles will be among the first to go live once the Dutch online gaming market opens under new regulations.

NYX said that it has been evaluating the opportunity since December when the two lotteries secured approval to complete their merger from the country’s Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).

The merger is expected to complete in the near future and will create a €1bn lottery operator.

“It’s a privilege to be working with de Nederlandse Staatsloterij / De Lotto to bring NYX’s OPS platform and our market leading content to their soon to be merged business,” NYX chief executive  Matt Davey commented.

“Global revenue forecasts for the lottery industry recently topped €260bn. As one of the few gaming content and platform providers with World Lottery Association Membership, we are well positioned to work in partnership with national lotteries across the globe.”

Shares in NYX Gaming Group plc (Co.Data) (TSX:NYX) closed up 4.29 per cent at CAD$2.92 per share in Toronto Monday.
