William Hill US, a subsidiary of the UK bookmaker, has agreed a long-term deal with US casino operator Eldorado Resorts to significantly upgrade and operate the race and sportsbooks at two Reno resorts.
The company has operated the neighboring Eldorado Resort Casino’s race and sportsbook since entering the Nevada market in 2012, and will now supply its betting services to two more Reno casinos, Silver Legacy Resort Casino and Circus Circus Hotel Casino – Reno.
Subject to regulatory approval, the 7,200 square foot William Hill Race & Sports Book at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino will feature a new sports bar, state-of-the-art video wall technology for viewing of sporting events, and live in-play betting odds.
Meanwhile, the race and sportsbook at Circus Circus Reno will also be undergoing a major renovation, including upgraded sports viewing with state-of-the-art big-screen TVs and a new sports bar and lounge.
“We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Eldorado Resorts and the Carano family to bring the William Hill brand and enhanced betting product to the three largest resorts in Downtown Reno,” said William Hill US CEO Joe Asher.
“The Caranos have always created best-in-class experiences for their customers and we are excited to invest in their properties.”
Last July, Eldorado Resorts acquired MGM Resorts’ 50 per cent interest in the Silver Legacy, as well as all of the assets of Circus Circus Reno, for a total consideration of $72.5m.
Since taking full ownership, the company said that it is investing in both casinos by way of room upgrades, new dining attractions and new casino floor improvements.
William Hill will provide the race and sportsbooks with some of the best parlay card payouts in Nevada, as well as live continuous in-play wagering on football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer.
“William Hill is the premier sportsbook operator in Nevada, and we are excited to work with them to upgrade the Silver Legacy and Circus Circus race and sportsbooks and provide expanded betting opportunities to our customers,” said Gary Carano, chairman and CEO of Eldorado Resorts.
“The race and sportsbook is increasingly important to the resort experience, and the new books will help drive additional visitation and excitement to our casinos as we continue to invest in our downtown Casino Resorts.”
