Swedish casino games developer NetEnt has paid out another multi-million Euro jackpot on its popular Mega Fortune slot game, this time to a Norwegian on

It is the second major jackpot win on the Mega Fortune game this year, following a €2.7m windfall in the UK in January.

The Betsson player, who remains unnamed but is in his 20s, won SEK45m (€4.9m) but initially thought he won SEK45,000 (€4,900).

“I was playing Mega Fortune a little before bed, and then suddenly the jackpot hit,” the player said. “I was unsure at first if it was true, but it has gradually dawned on me how much I’ve won. I’ll build a house with the money, but otherwise want to just carry on as normal.”

Simon Hammon, NetEnt’s chief product officer, said: “Mega Fortune continues to be one of NetEnt’s best performing and most played games, and we’re over the moon that another jackpot has dropped.

“We’re looking forward to even more players enjoying the great gameplay and features in the future, and I’m sure it won’t be too long before the slot changes another life for the good.”

Shares in NetEnt AB (Co. Data) (STO:NET-B) were trading at SEK78.25 per share in Stockholm earlier Friday.
