Virtual sports specialist Inspired has signed a deal with OPAP to provide its products across the Greek lottery operator’s online and retail network.

Inspired will supply its virtuals games online and via the operator’s 4,500 retail locations from early next year.

The supplier’s full suite of products will be gradually made available to OPAP’s customers, beginning with Rush Football 2 upon launch, alongside Rush Horses and Rush Greyhounds.

OPAP will also offer the virtual boxing game starring Mike Tyson boxing and virtual basketball games, featuring Shaquille O’Neal, as soon as they become commercially available.

“The announcement of this deal is a significant one for Inspired and OPAP,” said Inspired CEO Luke Alvarez. “Together we will bring best-in-class virtual sports to the Greek market, and I’m confident that this represents the commencement of a fruitful business relationship.

“Inspired’s virtual sports have driven material incremental income in several international markets, and we expect the same in Greece. We look forward to working with OPAP to deliver a premium player experience.”

OPAP CEO Damian Cope said that the deal was an important first step in building a “world class portfolio” of products for OPAP.

“Inspired’s virtual sports is a proven product with players in many other European jurisdictions and I am confident that our own customers in Greece will also enjoy playing these entertaining games,” he said.

“This will be one of the first new products that we will launch in line with our long-term 2020 Vision and we expect to make further announcements on additional product launches in the coming months.”
