Amaya's sportsbook brand BetStars has significantly enhanced its US sports offering by offering betting markets on professional and collegiate football, as well as coverage of Major League Baseball (MLB).

The operator is adding 348 new markets in total, with pre-match and in-play odds offered on the National Football League (NFL) as well as National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) football and on the MLB.

BetStars customers will now be able to bet on all 267 NFL regular season and playoff matches, including the league's championship match the Super Bowl, which takes place in February each year.

Users have been able to bet on the NFL via BetStars since the season began on September 8th, on pre-match markets such as first touchdown scorer and in-play on the point spread for each quarter of a match among other markets.

Odds on college football and the MLB will go live on BetStars in the coming weeks, with 60 markets to be offered on NCAA matches and 211 for MLB games.

"The globalisation of US sports has seen considerable growth in the level of interest in American sports on this side of the Atlantic," BetStars managing director Zeno Ossko said.

"The addition of these new US markets is an exciting step forward in giving BetStars customers more chances to test their sports smarts, both before and during games."

Shares in Amaya Inc (Co. Data) (TSX:AYA) closed at CAD$21.07 per share in Toronto Wednesday.
