US gaming supplier International Game Technology (IGT) has signed a deal to provide its casino management system to the Lucky Dragon Hotel and Casino, a new casino catering to Asian guests which is due to open in Las Vegas later this year.

IGT will provide a suite of management solutions including its latest Advantage system, with marketing, player communication as well as floor, media, service and table management applications. Lucky Dragon will also be able to monitor its gaming systems using the supplier's SystemWatch product.

For the first time on the Las Vegas strip, IGT’s Lucky Chip will introduce a progressive bonus to table games, as one of six bonusing applications that will be rolled out for the casino.

Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino will also be the first property in North America to offer IGT rebates and commissions to VIP table game players, a concept popular in the Asian gaming market.

As part of the deal, IGT will also provide 12 Dynasty electronic table games offering baccarat and roulette.

The Lucky Dragon is scheduled to open on December 3rd, 2016, at the north end of the Las Vegas strip.

It features a nine-story hotel with 203 rooms and 27,500 square feet of casino space, with an emphasis on games particularly popular with Asian players such as baccarat and Pai Gow. It also features a high-limit gaming area known as the Emerald room and a VIP gaming parlour.

The venue also boasts a tea garden featuring the city's only tea sommelier, as well as five Asian-inspired restaurant concepts. Signage will also be tailored to accommodate Asian-speaking guests.

"IGT casino management systems offer us the innovation that we need to bring a carefully curated, authentic Asian experience to the Las Vegas Strip," said Dave Jacoby, chief operating officer of Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino.

"With features such as the Lucky Chip bonus and the only rebates and commissions offering in North America, IGT has helped us differentiate the Lucky Dragon Hotel and Casino as Las Vegas' premier Asian gaming provider."

Nick Khin, IGT senior vice president of sales for North America gaming and interactive, added: "By securing this agreement with Lucky Dragon Hotel and Casino, we're building on IGT's leadership in casino management systems innovation. Whenever there is a new casino opening on the Las Vegas Strip, competition is fierce for games and systems placement.

"By providing unique systems capabilities and best-in-class game content, we can help Lucky Dragon Hotel and Casino differentiate itself among players as the authentic Asian gaming experience provider."
