Sports broadcaster and software supplier Satellite Information Services (SIS) has signed a three-year deal to provide coverage of racing from Mauritius Turf Club in the UK.

The deal with the oldest horseracing club in the Southern Hemisphere will see SIS distirbute racing pictures, data and fixed-odds prices to UK betting shops and online bookmakers directly from the club’s 200 year-old Champ de Mars course in Mauritius.

SIS will broadcast eight races a day from 37 weekend features, as well as providing odds, starting prices and in-play updates from the course via its SIS Trading Services subsidiary. It will also supply clients with a suite of data triggers to allow for automated trading on races.

Launched in January, SIS Trading Services is a bespoke trading department that provides pricing on UK, Irish, and international horse and greyhound racing.

The deal further strengthens SIS' portfolio, which already includes exclusive coverage of UK racing, the best of French and Irish racing and events from Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

"We’re delighted to have secured top quality racing from Mauritius for the next three years, which is the ideal product for operators looking to give their customers additional content during busy periods," SIS commercial director Paul Witten said.

"Our team of experienced traders are able to utilise their proprietary algorithms to deliver a full range of markets on races from Mauritius," added head of SIS Trading Services Adam Conway. "The ease of integration of the product is cost effective and will ensure our robust and trusted data is delivered at speed."
