Stockholm-listed gaming operator Betsson has launched an appeal against the €300,000 fine imposed on its subsidiary Corona by Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA).
The fine relates to two Corona online gaming brands, Oranje and Kroon, which the Dutch authorities accuse of serving players in the Netherlands without authorisation.
Online gaming is currently prohibited under Dutch legislation, although the government is working on a new regulatory framework that will allow private operators to secure licenses.
