Toronto-listed NYX Gaming Group has expanded its existing partnership with Sky Betting & Gaming to enhance the operator's OpenBet-powered sportsbook and strengthen its online casino offering.

Having successfully launched the Sky Bet Italia site on the OpenBet platform during the final quarter of last year, NYX will work alongside the Sky Bet sportsbook team to support the launch of a series of features and functionality to the site.

The companies have also reached an agreement in principle for NYX to integrate its Open Gaming System (OGS) with Sky Bet's Italian and UK sites.

This, if finalised, would give the operator access to more than 1,000 titles, including proprietary hits such as Gorilla Go Wild and Double Play Superbet from NYX's in-house studio NextGen Gaming.

Finally Sky Bet's internal game development unit Core Gaming will expand its content development relationship with the supplier. This allows for 36 new titles to be rolled out each year, with NYX hosting and distributing Core's products.

Core also gains access to a full suite of development tools and technology, as well as access to more than 200 clients taking content from the OGS.

"We're pleased to announce a strengthening of our relationship with the team at Sky Betting and Gaming, and to further support their impressive growth," NYX chief executive Matt Davey commented. "This partnership is significant to NYX, representing a firm endorsement of the group as a whole, and emphasising the vital role it plays for the industry's most successful operators around the world.

"It also reaffirms NYX's commitment to building our partnerships and maximising the relationships across a number of different areas to deliver optimum value to our clients," Davey continued. "The closer we work with customers to develop our relationships, the better we can tailor our products to deliver improved growth for our respective businesses."

Sky Bet has worked with OpenBet (acquired by NYX last year) since its launch, and CEO Richard Flint said that the supplier had been "an integral component" of its business ever since.

"[The] performance and stability of the platform is key to our best-in-class customer experience," Flint said. "Enhancing that customer experience is a core focus for Sky Betting and Gaming and the strengthening of the relationship with NYX is another big step towards our objective to build the best casino in the market.

"NYX is a premium developer and we are thrilled to be able to offer their highly popular games to our players, giving our customers more options alongside our own proprietary games," he added.

Shares in NYX Gaming Group Limited (Co.Data) (CVE:NYX) closed down 0.16 per cent at CAD$1.14 per share in Toronto Tuesday.
