When Amaya chief executive Rafi Ashkenazi assumed full control of operations and group management, one of the first things he did was appoint Guy Templer as chief operating officer.
Templer is the longest-serving member of the PokerStars executive team, having joined as head of corporate and business development in April 2011. As such, he is the best-placed person in senior management to tell us how the company has evolved.
