In his first ever interview, IDNPlay chief executive Daniel Alexis explains how Asian-facing IDNPoker became the world’s second most popular real money poker network.

IDNPoker seemed to come out of nowhere in January, when it appeared in third place on PokerScout’s poker liquidity charts.

It has since risen above 888Poker to take second place. It is miles ahead of PartyPoker, iPoker and the rest and sits right behind PokerStars as the world’s second most popular real money online poker network. At the time of publication it had a seven-day average of 4,400 players per day, behind PokerStars’ 10,500 but comfortably ahead of 888Poker’s 1,500.

Before January hardly anyone outside of Asia knew about the company but its decision to list on PokerScout and its sheer weight of numbers made everyone sit up and take notice.
