Sportradar subsidiary Betradar has leveraged its partnership with esports data specialist Dojo Madness to launch live odds for League of Legends tournaments and competitions.
The new in-play offering for the multiplayer battle arena game has been developed using Dojo Madness' complex data models, developed through analysis of more than 450,000 games and 18 million individual data points.
This has enabled the companies to generate real-time probabilities for live betting, which in turn allow Betradar to offer clients what it describes as "the most credible in-play offering available".
"We are delighted that we can now offer our League of Legends in-play odds to the market," Betradar head of esports James Watson said. "League of Legends is the number one esports title played globally with over 100m unique players per month.
"It has an established tournament structure with events held all the way through the calendar year, while the recently announced franchise model showcases the stability and sustainability of the League of Legends ecosystem," Watson explained.
"This is all good news for operators looking to offer a highly attractive esports betting product. What makes the news even better is that our clients can now enjoy unbeatable up-times, the best array of markets with more to follow, including a range of live player markets."
Betradar and Dojo Madness first established a data-sharing partnership in November last year. Alongside the data it gathers on League of Legends, Dojo Madness also covers popular titles such as Dota 2, CS:GO and Overwatch.
"One of the reasons we partnered with Betradar is that we wanted to bring our unrivalled expertise in aggregating and interpreting esports game data into the betting ecosystem with a partner that stands for integrity and accuracy," Dojo Madness chief executive Jens Hilgers said.
"Providing the odds for the most popular esports title combined with the future markets we already have in the pipeline, including live player markets, is another contribution of our partnership to the exciting esports ecosystem."
