Sydney-listed payments provider EML Payments has secured multi-year deals to provide branded reloadable cards to gaming operators Fortuna Entertainment and Betsson.
The agreements were signed though EML's wholly-owned subsidiary EML Payments Europe, and allow the operators' customers to immediately access their winnings and remit funds.
“Betsson is an innovator in the gaming industry, continuously reinventing and developing new ways to delight their customers,” said EML Group chief executive Tom Cregan. “EML’s strategy aligns perfectly with their philosophy, and we are appreciative of the opportunity to help Betsson take their popular gaming brands to the next level of consumer experience.”
The second agreement is with Central European gaming operator Fortuna, which will initially launch the cards in the Czech Republic.
“This is an exciting development for the EML business and we thank Fortuna for selecting EML to partner with and be the first operator to launch these cards in Europe,” said Cregan. “We look forward to working on the program launch and demonstrating the customer demand for our solution across multiple countries and markets.”
Shares in EML Payments Ltd (ASX:EML) closed up 3.00 per cent at AUD$2.06 per share in Sydney Monday.
