Betting data and broadcast solutions provider Satellite Information Services (SIS) is preparing to relaunch its TV service for retail bookmakers after securing rights to Racecourse Media Group's racecourses from April of next year.

The relaunch of its SIS FACTS and SIS+ TV channels will take place in two stages, reflecting the expiration of the company's rights to Northern courses which expires at the end of the year.

From January 1st 2018, the first phase of the relaunch will see the SIS FACTS channel continue broadcasting content from Chelmsford City, Leicester, Stratford, and Taunton, along with Irish horse racing.

It will also include content from France, Germany and the United Arab Emirates, as well as Latin American and US racing, with increased virtuals content to offset the loss of the Northern courses.

From April 1st next year, SIS will be able add content from Racecourse Media Group (RMG), which owns the rights to 37 racecourses in the UK including Aintree and Ascot. Coverage of UK greyhound racing, 49s and existing virtual racing content will continue to be broadcast on the channel.

The SIS+ channel will show British and Irish horse and greyhound racing, Indian and UAE coverage, and additional French and German races.

From April 1st, two complementary channels to FACTS and SIS+ will launch. These will allow for more content from RMG tracks to be broadcast, as well as allowing SIS to provide its clients with more in-depth build-up and analysis of its events.

"After much anticipation, we are pleased to announce the relaunch of the SIS service, which have been a staple within British and Irish betting shops for over 30 years," SIS product director Paul Witten said. "We have worked to ensure that the SIS service schedules are optimised for customers' needs, and will maximise value for bookmakers."
