Toronto-listed Global Daily Fantasy Sports has launched a new daily fantasy sports (DFS) network in Italy in partnership with IGT’s Lottomatica Scommesse brand.
Lottomatica will act as the network head, enabling other Italian operators to join the network and pool their user databases to create larger prize pools.
"We are very excited with the launch of our Italian facing DFS network and look forward to working with our partners to innovate and build daily fantasy sports in Italy, which is one of the largest gaming markets in Europe and is growing exponentially,” said Global Daily Fantasy Sports chief executive Darcy Krogh.
“2018 will bring new opportunities with the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia and the addition of new customers to join our DFS network in Italy."
Shares in Global Daily Fantasy Sports Inc (CVE:DFS) closed up 9.52 per cent at CAD$0.345 in Toronto Thursday.
