Toronto-listed Global Daily Fantasy Sports had added a leading operator to its Italian daily fantasy sports (DFS) network following a deal with Sisal.
Sisal is the second operator to join the new DFS network in Italy, which launched last month with Lottomatica.
Sisal has been in operation for more than 70 years and has more than 14m customers in Italy across its omni-channel gaming and payments businesses. It also has a retail network of more than 45,000 points of sale, and is one of the leading operators in the Italian online sports betting market.
“Combined our two great partners represent 14 per cent of the Italian online sports betting market which is one of the largest gaming markets in Europe and is growing," said Darcy Krogh, chief executive of Global Daily Fantasy Sports.
"We are excited for the opportunity to build our network with the addition of new operators and creating the largest DFS network in this regulated market."
Shares in Global Daily Fantasy Sports Inc (TOR:GDFS) closed up 1.69 per cent at CAD$0.30 per share in Toronto on Tuesday.
