London-listed gaming software provider Nektan has expanded its partnership with Tyche Digital to service online casino operators offering cryptocurrency payments.

Under the new agreement, Malta-based Tyche Digital will supply Nektan's Evolve Lite gaming platform to cryptocurrency online casino operators, featuring games from leading casino suppliers and a range of in-built promotional features.

Tyche has already agreed deals with two new operators, both of which aim to launch before the end of July.

"Nektan has long recognised that the cryptocurrency space is becoming an increasingly important part of the global e-gaming industry," Nektan interim chief executive Gary Shaw said. "Our Evolve Lite platform has been designed with flexibility in mind, to be adjusted seamlessly in order to meet the changing needs of our customers.

"We are delighted that Tyche has again chosen Nektan to support its expanding business," Shaw added. "This agreement clearly demonstrates the versatility of our technology, our ability to evolve and to deliver product innovations with speed."

The deal builds on the global platform licensing agreement signed by Nektan and Tyche Digital in October 2017. This saw Tyche take responsibility for licensing the platform in Asia, with Asia-facing operator 138.com the highest-profile sign-up to date.

Shares in Nektan plc (AIM:NKTN) plunged 14.89 per cent to 20.00 pence per share in London Tuesday morning.
