Playtech BGT Sports has been planning for this World Cup for the past year, managing director for UK, Ireland, Asia, and Australia John Pettit tells Gaming Intelligence.
“The boring part”, explains Playtech BGT Sports managing director John Pettit, “Is getting the terminal density right. We need to figure out the optimum number of terminals in each shop.”
The more interesting part of Playtech’s plan for Russia’s World Cup has been the development of new software that began over a year ago.
The biggest one is the development of a product called MatchAcca, which is similar to Sky Bet’s Request A Bet but offered on self-service betting terminals (SSBTs). It allows customers to create an accumulator in-play and it updates the odds in real time.
