Stockholm-listed Aspire Global has launched a new online casino for Danish magazine publisher Aller Media under the Hyggespil.dk brand.

Operating under Aspire Global's Danish licence, the site combines skill-based games such as Sudoku and crossword puzzles with a selection of online casino games.

“Having chosen Aspire Global as our partner enables us to continuously improve our offering based on new digital opportunities and changing demand,” said Aller Media Denmark business development director Andreas Hansen. “Aspire Global offers a unique technical solution and we are confident in their ability to realize our vision for the digital entertainment.”

Based in Copenhagen, Aller Media publishes 34 monthly magazines targeting Danish, Finnish and Swedish consumers, including popular titles Elle, Cafe, Familie Journalen, Femina, Allers and Se og Hør.

It agreed a partnership with Aspire Global in April this year, the supplier's second major media partnership following a deal with Portugal's Cofina Media.

"Our strategy is to focus on regulated markets by providing large media companies with the opportunity to launch an iGaming brand of their own," Aspire Global vice president of sales Jov Spiero explained.

"Aller Media has a unique position in the Danish media market, being one of the leading publishers of magazines and weeklies with a strong online presence. The partnership is a perfect match and we are excited about the launch."

Shares in Aspire Global plc (STO:ASPIRE) were trading down 1.62 per cent at SEK30.30 per share in Stockholm Wednesday.
