Swedish horse race betting operator AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) will strengthen its pari-mutuel betting offering through a partnership with American stock exchange Nasdaq.

The agreement will see ATG leverage technology from Nasdaq to strengthen its horse racing betting offering.

"ATG’s vision is to create the world´s best gaming experiences," said ATG chief product and business development officer Mikael Bäcke. "This exciting new partnership with Nasdaq will enable ATG to take further steps towards providing an exciting and smooth gaming experience."

Nasdaq's technology powers more than 100 marketplaces in 50 countries, and one in ten of the world's securities transactions.

"Pari-mutuel technology is used to support the horse racing industry globally and can also help drive business expansion," said Nasdaq head of longitude and new markets Scott Shechtman.

"We look forward to supporting ATG as they execute on their growth strategy and maintain their position as a leading betting company."
