Athens-listed gaming operator and solutions provider Intralot said Thursday that it is still in the running to operate Turkey’s ten-year sports betting concession.

Intralot said that it submitted its bid through local subsidiary Inteltek on February 11th, followed by its final financial offer on February 13th, and currently awaits the decision of the Sportoto State Organisation competition committee.

Inteltek holds the current sports betting concession which expires in August, with Intralot also holding a 50.01 per cent stake in Turkish online betting operator Bilyoner.

Bilyoner accounts for 42 per cent of Intralot’s EBIDTA and 55 per cent of its revenue in Turkey.

Local media reports suggested earlier this week that Intralot had lost the ten-year sports betting concession to a consortium involving New York-listed supplier Scientific Games.

Shares in Intralot SA (ATH:INLOT) were trading up 1.90 per cent at €0.483 per share in Athens Friday morning.
