Sports data provider Sportradar has agreed a global partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) to serve as its official distributor.

The partnership will see Sportradar serve as the exclusive distributor of official MLB real time game statistics to both media companies and regulated sports betting operators outside the United States, as well as live audio-visual game feeds to gaming operators in regulated markets outside the US.

It also gives Sportradar the exclusive right to distribute official real time statistics to media outlets in the US, and the non-exclusive right to supply MLB real time betting data feeds to regulated sports betting operators in the market.

Sportradar said the combination of MLB’s official data, statistics and live collection methods with its own world-class technology backbone and extensive distribution network will deliver a significant competitive edge to sportsbooks when it comes to in-game betting and liability management.

Alongside the data partnership, Sportradar will also integrate its integrity services with MLB’s existing game integrity protection measures, providing monitoring and analyses services and educational tools.
