New York-listed supplier Scientific Games has lauded another successful Cheltenham Festival for its OpenBet product suite, with more than 48m bets processed during last week’s event.

The supplier said that it saw steady uptime throughout the Festival, enabling maximum engagement across customer sportsbooks.

The Cheltenham Festival runs for four days annually as part of the National Hunt race calendar in the United Kingdom and features several high-profile horse races. The Festival is one of the UK’s most popular betting events, often seeing total wagers in excess of £400 million.

This year, SG Digital’s sportsbook customers processed over 48.2m bets over the four-day event, an increase of over 23 per cent year-on-year.

SG Digital described the Festival as a big acquisition driver for its customers, who recorded 26,000 bets per minute at peak times.

Shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NYQ:SGMS) closed in New York Friday down 5.32 per cent at $20.98 per share.
