New York-listed gaming supplier Scientific Games has completed the roll-out of its Equinox gaming terminals across the Ladbrokes Coral retail estate in the United Kingdom.

Scientific Games has introduced its Equinox terminals across most of the GVC-owned bookmaker’s retail estate in the UK under a seven-year deal signed by the companies last June.

This has already seen the Equinox terminals undergo successful trials at 100 Ladbrokes Coral sites during 2018.

“We’re delighted that this complex roll-out was successfully completed within an ambitious 12-week timeframe and that the new machines made a positive impact on growth as highlighted in our recent results,” said Ladbrokes Coral Group director of machines Vince Bateson. “We have a collaborative partnership with Scientific Games and value the support they provide our business...”

Simon Johnson, group commercial director of SG Gaming UK, commented: “We are proud to work closely with Ladbrokes Coral, and the large-scale roll-out of our Equinox terminals marks a new stage in this partnership.

“Our state-of-the-art hardware enables Ladbrokes Coral to take advantage of our latest content and software developments, including our new menu concept which provides an exciting new way of game navigation, and gameplay features such as ‘Premium Play’.

“As the customer journey is set to change in the coming months, it is important that we invest in the sector and innovate our offering, and support our customers as they drive their retail gaming performance,” he added.

New rules came into force on April 1st reducing the maximum stake on fixed odds betting terminals in UK betting shops from £100 to £2 per spin. This has seen operators work to adjust their offering through alternative products.

Shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NSQ:SGMS) closed in New York Thursday down 1.39 per cent at $20.63 per share.
