London-listed gaming solutions provider Playtech has signed a deal to launch a new online casino platform for Spanish sports betting operator RETAbet.

Playtech will provide an exclusive casino platform and live casino suite to customers, powered by the supplier’s IMS platform. This will include popular slot and casino games such as blackjack, roulette and live roulette.

“Playtech has a strong track record of working hand-in-hand with its licensees, ensuring they are at the forefront of innovation in regulated markets in Europe and across the globe,” said Playtech CEO Mor Weizer. “This deal is a prime example of our strategy to partner with, and invest in, the leading brands, and we look forward to working with RETAbet to bring our top-quality casino content to the Spanish market.”

RETAbet is one of the leading operators in Spain’s retail betting sector, with an extensive sales network of more than 2,300 points throughout the country. This includes self-service terminals in its own shops, corners in lounges, bingo halls, casinos and hospitality establishments.

Shares in Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC) were trading up marginally by 0.40 per cent at 401.70 pence per share in London Thursday morning.
