After seven years of unparalleled growth in Italy’s gaming sector, there were those who imagined that 2010 would not match the double-digit increase in spend of most of the last decade, particularly with the delay in introduction of new products as a result of legal problems. However, figures published by gaming authority AAMS at the beginning of February have revealed that turnover last year soared to over €61bn, up 13 per cent on 2009’s figure of €54bn.
