Betfair Group plc has reported a 1 per cent increase in total revenues to £191.3m for the six month period ended October 31st, as growth in sports betting offset declines in games and poker, with the company confirming that it expects to roll out a new and improved version of its website in the New Year.

Net gaming revenues (NGR) from Core Betfair, which includes the company’s betting exchange and its portfolio of sports betting, games and poker products, increased by 2 per cent to £168.6m during the period.

“I am pleased with our performance in the first half of the year, with record revenues and profits,” said Betfair CEO David Yu, who will be stepping down from his role at the end of this month.
