Rank Group plc has reported a 4 per cent increase in total revenues to £589.9m for the full 2011 year, buoyed by a strong performance from the company’s Rank Interactive online gaming business which saw revenues improve by 24 per cent during the period.

Revenues (excluding free bets, promotions and customer bonuses) from Rank Interactive were up 24 per cent to £71.8m, benefiting from growth from the company’s MeccaBingo.com brand as a result of an increased investment in marketing, including an exclusive deal with Britain’s Got Talent producer Freemantle Media.

“During 2011 we have continued to deliver growth in earnings per share while strengthening our financial position and delivering a high quality, value for money, gaming experience to our customers,” said Rank chairman Ian Burke.
