Central European betting and lottery operator Fortuna Entertainment Group has seen revenues in the first half of 2012 climb by 14.7 per cent to €43.06m, driven by the introduction of online betting in Poland and the impact of the EURO 2012 football championship.

The company reported Wednesday that total  amounts staked in the first half of 2012 amounted to €229.07m, an increase of 9.6 per cent versus the same period a year ago, with sports betting accounting for €219.09m of the total and lotteries a further €9.98m.
