Sports betting continues to dominate the regulated Spanish online gaming market, accounting for just under half of total gross gaming revenues during the first quarter of 2013, according to latest figures released by national gambling regulator Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ).

Total gross gaming revenues (GGR) amounted to €60.8m in the first quarter of this year, a marginal 1 per cent decline versus the previous quarter. The regulation of the market occurred in June of last year so there are no comparables figures for Q1 2012.
