Central European gaming operator Fortuna Entertainment Group has reported a 4 per cent increase in gross win to €57.4m for the first half of 2013, with the company’s online and mobile channel now representing more than 40 per cent of the total.

Amounts staked from sports betting rose 23 per cent to €268.4m, following strong growth in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while amounts staked from lottery fell by 26 per cent year-on-year due to a decline in the sales of numerical games.

Fortuna CEO and vice chairman Radim Haluza said: “The excellent results achieved by the Fortuna Group in the first half of the current year are demonstrated by the strong double digit growth in all key indicators.”
